These meticulous ink drawings/collages are an imaginative response to mundane, everyday objects and how they instinctively evolve. To understand something, we usually use what we already recognize and associate these familiar symbols with preexisting narratives. The nonsensical can be questioned be rearranging these symbols into varieties of sequences. Like puzzle pieces they move sporadically in and out of each other, yearning for connection. More often they are left to wander aimlessly, leaving a transient never-ending trail. Actions and reactions collide beyond bodily constraint, leaving the moment vulnerable and silly. These imaginative inventions become distant curiosities, and the end visual result is a satisfying surrealism.
