Hello everyone,

It's been awhile since I last sent out an e-newsletter. As we know we are in a different time and space, and at this point it's all been said before. I hope all is well and safe for you, and for your friends and family. Many of us know folks who have been directly affected by this and our hearts go out to them...

I was planning on doing a show during this time at Living Room Realty with Annie Coleman, and I hope to mount that show at some point over the next year. Our band Sinner's Friend has a gig in Oak Park at "Friendly Tap" on May 23rd. Who knows if that will go. My guess is not.

A few final notes. We are having an online auction at Toomey & Co Auctioneeers, coming up May 6. Details are below, and for many of you who aren't familiar with the auction world, some notes about the process. The first 17 lots in the auction come from the Collection of the Oak Park Art League and benefit them. There is much more in this Interiors sale, as there are over 600 lots in the genres of fine art, arts and crafts, and modern design. The first 200 or so lots are art!

I am also looking for quality consignments for the following Art and Design auction on June 28th. Our deadline is next week on Friday, May 1st. There still is time if you contact me right away. Fine art, contemporary, modern, outsider. Happy to look. Email me or call.

We are excited about the upcoming Interiors auction at Toomey & Co Auctioneeers, on Wednesday, May 6 starting at 10:00 AM CDT. We want to encourage you to bid on the 17 historic paintings that have been deaccessioned from the Collection of the Oak Park Art League (OPAL) and ensure that everyone who would like to participate understands the auction process. This is a great opportunity to support OPAL and add a painting from a meaningful organization at the same time!

For background on OPAL and the works that will be up for bid on May 6, we invite you to read the relevant New and Noteworthy post on the Toomey & Co. website.
