Saturday, June 15, 1 pm Kathy Halper: Artist Talk and Video screening Details follow: Event Date: Sunday, June 9, 3pm Choral Concert with Golosa (reception following) Golosa is a University of Chicago-based ensemble presenting the rich and exuberant tradition of Russian folk song. From Cossack marching tunes to hymns of the Orthodox Church to songs of contemporary Russian artists, Golosa incorporates traditional instruments and dances to tell stories of love, war, and devotion. Lake St., Chicago 60607 Event Date: Tuesday, June 11, 5:30-9:30pm Ellen Greene's Tattoo Truck at the Guerilla Truck Show Ellen Greene's Tattoo Truck is the perfect "fit" for The Guerilla Truck Show. We will create the look of a stylized vintage tattoo parlour using Ms. Greene's Tattoo Flash and Tattoo gloves. The truck venue will be just right! ABOUT THE TRUCK SHOW: Every summer during Neocon, the worlds largest international trade fair, Morlen Sinoway Atelier hosts the Guerrilla Truck Show. The event serves as a platform for creatives of all types to showcase their work in a temporary gallery space within the back of a truck. Over the years, the event has blossomed from 13 trucks exhibiting to 60 trucks for this, the 9th Annual show. Come to Packer Schopf Gallery on June 15 at 1pm for an artist talk with Kathy Halper. There will also be a screening of "Kathy Halper / Artist in Residence Series" a mini-documentary from Joe Gallo Film, followed by a discussion with the artist about the social commentary her social media inspired embroideries are making.
