I wanted to let you know about a FIVE exciting things that just happened or are upcoming. This might be the last email for a month or more... thus the list!
Just finished our first successful Folk, Outsider, Self-Taught Art + Americana auction at Toomey Co. We will be incorporating more Folk/Outsider related art throughout the year, and will have another auction next year. If you're curious the results are below with images.

Bill Swislow's (and my) Lakefront Anonymous book is coming out in October or so after a successful Kickstarter campaign with a 2-day event/photo show at 1100 Florence in Evanston on November 13 and 14. Details here.

Our band Sinner's Friend is playing a block party this Saturday August 28th at 7PM at Compound Yellow in Oak Park. There are many things happening all day starting at 2 with music going from 6 to 10PM: Jodi and Dave Walker at 6 and Paul Ashford Band at 8PM
