A series of scanned collages dealing with depression and healing. Savage is most well known for photograms of dresses, linens, and doll clothing, Savage uses magazine pages of faces of models from advertising, and used no scissors for this detour. The end result looks a bit like a ransom note with no words. This is an in your face exhibition, pun intended. Karen Savage is an artist living in Oak Park. Recently retired from teaching at the Art Institute for over thirty years, she continues to be driven to create work. Savage has show internationally and is in many private collections. She has received numerous grants and awards.
