I want to let you know I'll be having a last minute gift book-signing for the Lakefront Anonymous book. It's this Saturday in Evanston, at the same gallery where we had our kickoff exhibition. The book is a pretty darn good gift for the person who has everything and likes Chicago things and ART!
I'll have signed books by Bill Swislow and me, and I'll personally inscribe to whomever you like.

On view at the 1100 Florence gallery are Dave Ford's New Paintings. We showed Dave Ford's work multiple times at Packer Schopf — he's the artist who did the Truck Drawings and he was in the very last Packer Schopf show with his Swing Set Drum Kit. His new paintings are colorful and plugged in. I think Ed P. has been whispering to him in his dreams. Note: There are other art shows happening in the nearby hood on Saturday so you can make your last minute art shopping in a quick sweep.

It's been a long time since my last eblast in October 2022, which was for my Folk and Outsider Art Auction at Toomey & Co Auctioneers. The auction was a feast for the eyes and mind. I was thrilled to curate a great group of unusual material both new and old spanning aesthetics both raw and cooked. The auction went very well and a record was set for Lee Godie... wait for it... $30,000.00. (You'll have to bring me your Godie's in 2023... at my new gig! --please see below)
Big news! I will soon be at a new auction house after the first of the year. Come January I'll clue you in on the details. Pretty exciting new spot for me.
